In Singapore, there are five well-known petroleum companies there are Shell, Caltex, Esso, SPC, and Sinopec. Each of these companies offers a variety of discounts and promotions in addition to its own prices in an effort to draw customers.

We need to explore and compare the price of each RON grade and discounts offered by each company and save as much as possible on petrol.

Update on this month’s average petrol pricing

In March 2023, the average cost of petrol is S$3.07 (between the lowest diesel and highest petrol grade) per liter, with SPC charging as low as S$2.70 for Ron 92 per liter and Shell charging as high as S$3.50 for V-Power per liter.

All petrol stations have their own loyalty cards that you need to apply for to get the discount, which will award you with points to exchange for vouchers when you refuel your vehicle, and if you pay with certain credit cards (such as Citibank, DBS, OCBC, UOB, Standard Chartered, HSBC, and more), there are added-on discounts between 5% and 24% to that particular company.

Some of the stations, like Caltex, Shell, and Esso, have their own app to check how many points you have and to find all the promotions.
